Linda Y. Huang, M.D. attended Rutgers University and New Jersey Medical School through a combined accelerated program. She graduated Rutgers Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in Biology and Philosophy. She received her MD from NJMS and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society. After her Internal Medicine internship at Mt. Sinai Beth Israel, she returned to NJMS for her ophthalmology training.
During her last year of residency, she served as Chief Resident and was awarded the Rev. James R. Reilly Humanitarian Award for excellence in patient care. She then completed her glaucoma fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida.
Dr. Huang is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Glaucoma Society, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. She is currently on the editorial board for EyeWorld, an American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery journal. She has also published and presented extensively on her anterior segment and glaucoma interests.
Dr. Huang is a trained cataract and glaucoma physician and surgeon. In addition to traditional medical and surgical treatments for glaucoma, she offers newer minimally invasive glaucoma procedures.
